2. What this policy covers
This document explains how we look after the personal data we receive from you via the dragonkids.sk website, contact form, email, phone calls, and our advertisements on Google, Facebook, and Instagram.
Please note that the processing of data regarding children who already attend our kindergarten — such as child documentation, health records, attendance, etc. — is governed by separate documentation that we will share with you when you sign the contract.
3. What data we process and why
3.1 Inquiries via contact form, email, or phone
Data we process: name and surname, email address, phone number, child’s age, preferred date for a tour, and anything else you choose to share with us.
Purpose: to answer your questions, arrange a tour, and provide you with information about our kindergarten.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — taking steps prior to entering into a contract, which you have requested yourself.
Retention period: 12 months from our last contact. If you decide to join us and become a client, this data will transfer to our contract records and follow those retention periods.
3.2 Inquiries via Facebook or Instagram lead forms
Data we process: name and surname, email, phone number, child’s age, preferred date for a tour.
Purpose: same as above. You fill out the form directly within the Meta app, and the data is made available to us in the Meta Leads Center.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Retention period: 12 months from our last contact.
3.3 Newsletter subscription and event invitations
Data we process: name and email address.
Purpose: keeping you up-to-date with what is happening in our kindergarten, open days, and available spots.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your kind consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time without giving a reason.
Retention period: until you withdraw your consent.
3.4 Website visits and ad performance measurement
Data we process: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, time of visit, referral source, and cookie identifiers.
Purpose: running our website smoothly, measuring visitor traffic, and evaluating the effectiveness of our advertisements.
Legal basis: for strictly necessary cookies, our legitimate interest in operating the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For analytical and marketing cookies, your kind consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give via the cookie banner and can adjust at any time.
Retention period: based on individual cookies, up to a maximum of 26 months.
3.5 Photos and videos of children
We publish photos and videos of children on our website, social media, and in our advertisements solely on the basis of written consent from the legal guardian, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. This consent is entirely voluntary, and choosing not to give it won't affect either your child’s admission or the care they receive with us. You can withdraw your consent at any time; however, please note that withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of publishing before you withdrew it.
4. Who we share your data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with the following trusted partners:
websupport.sk — website hosting and email services
Google Ireland Limited — Google Analytics, Google Ads
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — advertisements and lead forms on Facebook and Instagram
We may also share your data with public authorities if required by law.
Transfer outside the EU
Both Google and Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the USA. This transfer is secured by the European Commission's adequacy decision (Data Privacy Framework) or by standard contractual clauses.
5. Automated decision-making
We do not use any automated decision-making or profiling that would have legal effects on you or significantly affect you in a similar way.
6. Your rights
When it comes to your personal data, you have every right:
to access — to know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
to rectification — to correct any incorrect or incomplete details
to erasure — to ask us to delete your data if it is no longer needed or if you have withdrawn consent
to restrict processing
to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format

7. How we protect your data
Only team members who need your data to do their job have access to it, and everyone is bound by strict confidentiality. We use secure connections (HTTPS) and password protection, keeping your data only for the necessary periods mentioned above.

We may update this policy from time to time. You will always find the latest version right here on this page, along with its effective date.

A) Checkbox for the contact form on the website
By submitting this form, I acknowledge that Dragon Kids will process my contact details to handle my inquiry and arrange a tour. You can read more in our Privacy Policy (dragonkids.sk/ochrana-osobnych-udajov).
Note: For inquiries requested by the parent themselves, consent is not required — the legal basis is pre-contractual relations. Therefore, the checkbox is worded as "I acknowledge", not as consent. You should only add a separate, unchecked box if you would also like to send news and updates to parents:

B) Consent for publishing photos of the child
I, [name and surname of the legal guardian], kindly grant my consent to Dragon Kids s. r. o. to take and publish photos and video recordings of my child [name and surname of the child] on the dragonkids.sk website, on the kindergarten's Facebook and Instagram profiles, and in paid advertisements on these platforms.
I grant this consent for the period of [e.g., during the child's attendance and 2 years after its end]. I acknowledge that this is completely voluntary, that not granting it will have no impact on the admission or care of my child, and that I can withdraw it at any time by contacting info@dragonkids.sk.
